RIP Son of Oakland

Deeply saddened by the horrible loss of Victor McElhaney due to gun violence. While they were still students at Oakland School of the Arts, I hired Victor and his super talented trio to play for work events on two occasions. He was already an old soul jazz cat at 16. Victor was the apple of his mom Lynette’s eyes; she was enormously and vocally proud of him. I can’t begin to imagine the depths of his parents’ pain. My deepest condolences. Rest in power, young brother.
